the correct time
I’ve had the pleasure of working with The Design Museum of Chicago’s exhibit, The Correct Time. The idea came from a graduate student, Barbara Koenen, who collected 720 broken clocks. One clock for each minute in 12 hours. Twenty-four designers were asked to create a clockface representing their assigned hour.
I was assigned 3am. The witching hour. As someone who suffers from anxiety, just being assigned 3am made me nervous. I decided to visualize my anxiety - my mind going in hundreds of different directions as I worry over each scenario I create.
